![]() ![]() On my end, the 2.5k Preset still gives pink frames when using hdmi with monitor, 2 times out of 3. Works like the previous build, I get comparable results to my last test (20 recorded clips). Worth trying but personally I'd forget about it.Just tested crop_rec_4k_mlv_snd_raw_only_ I charged up a plastic comb with static electricity, touched it to the outside of the rear element and it shot off into the internals from whence it came. Just remembered I saw something similar to your rear element speck once. While we are at it don't be taken in by those who insist that a lens hood will save your front element from the above - it won't. To those who insist that filters degrade image quality I retort that (in my case) Nikon wouldn't make NC filters if there was any chance of serious degradation 99% of the time and for the 1% of the time you just might see some real or imagined problem then you can always take the damn thing off. A new (relatively) inexpensive filter and I was back in business straight away without costly repairs and down time. In my professional career I've had tree sap, kids' sticky fingers, road grit, road tar, acid rain - you name it whacked onto my lenses front protection filter but the precious lens element remained pristine beneath. This, of course, opens another can of worms for some who insist on going naked (?) and proudly display their scratched/scuffed front elements on lenses which are now worth a good 40% less than they should be. The only blemishes that CAN show up are scratches/goudges to the front element which usually only show up on images when shooting against the light and at smaller apertures, to which end keep a good quality protection filter on the front. Indeed I've seen all sorts of debris in lenses that had no effect on images. No way will it EVER affect images in any way, it's way off the plane of focus, even if it was 20 times the size you wouldn't see it on an image. Doesn't look like fungus, just a speck of who-know-what from who-knows-where that's settled internally on the rear element. ![]()
